USL Closed Captioning System (CCS)
Infrared Closed Caption System
The CCS is a small LED display which is mounted on a flexible arm that clamps on to the cinema seat cup holder.
The screen is a high contrast display which can be positioned so that the display is aligned under the screen and in front of the patron. The CCS display is designed with custom optics which displays the captions as a virtual image to help the viewer avoid eye strain from refocusing between the caption screen and the movie screen.
The CCS works via an infrared signal that broadcasts the closed caption text information throughout the auditorium; this allows the patron to sit where they feel most comfortable and still be able to use the benefits of CCS.
